Yemenite Filigree Brooch, made in Palestine

Circa 1920-1929, this silver, marked 900, highly detailed brooch was made in Palestine and stamped on the reverse. A pin clasp secures the brooch when worn.
Such fine detail work, perfect in its condition especially as it is approximately 100 years old. A true piece of history.
Yemenite Bezalel jewelry was based in Jerusalem and the local artisans were often of Yemenite heritage. Under the Ottoman Empire, Jerusalem was bustling with a lot of people from wide and far and these artisans produced a very distinct style of jewelry.
The core team of Yemenite artisans continued until 1929.
